Patrick Gallagher is a Grants Manager at the Middle East Institute, where he helps to manage the Chief Development Officer’s strategic funding and development goals. He works with the Policy Center’s scholars to craft grant proposals which will support critical non-partisan policy analysis, education programs, and the arts center. Patrick is an international relations professional with seven years of experience in the private sector, educational institutions, and government. 

He formerly worked at the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the United States in Washington, working to help build relationships and understanding among the think tank and university communities and an important regional ally. 

Prior to his position at the embassy, Patrick was a Fellow and founding team member at the Qatar-America Institute (QAI) in Washington, D.C., focused on the bilateral relationship and defense affairs. He was a Senior Associate at Logan International Relations, facilitating dialogue on governance and coalition-building in the Middle East. 

Patrick majored in Political Science at Northern Illinois University.
