Summary of report from Tehran

Majlis Speaker Mahdi Karrubi heading a high-ranking political and parliamentary delegation will visit Yemen, Algeria and Sudan next Saturday, it was announced here on Wednesday. The visit, which is taking place at the invitation of the Parliament Speakers of those countries, is aimed at broadening and consolidating relations at various fields.

During the tour, Karrubi is to confer with presidents, prime ministers, Parliament Speakers as well as foreign ministers of the three countries about expanding mutual ties, mainly at the parliamentary level.

Note: The choice of countries is interesting, as one of the goals may be to strengthen fundamentalist groups there and all three offer fair prospects of success for this.
