Algeria News Agency, Algeria, 12 April 2001 Summary of report
Ali Tounsi, Director General of National Security and his Tunisian counterpart Ali Seriati signed today a memorandum on security cooperation and exchange of information. The Tunisian delegation has been in Algeria for 10 months viewing relevant sites and receiving explanations of the Algerian experience in this field. It received similar explanations relating to activities carried out by the Algerian police and the experience it has acquired during recent years. At the scientific and technical police centre at Chateauneuf (Algiers), it received additional details concerning illegal traffic in documents and currency, repression, fraud, bomb defusing and explosives.
